Studs n' Crosses

Hello readers, and welcome to my new followers!

I'm sorry for the lack of updates, I'm currently very busy with finding a new place to live! After the summer I'll return to University, and I'll move to a different city for that. I'm looking forward, but I'm also quite anxious about it! I hope it will all go well.

What I really wanted to write about, though, are: shoes!
It seems to me that studded boots are totally hot right now. I see them in basically every store, and I love them!
These are seen in nearly every store in my area

Usually I'm only into really girly stuff, such as high heels or shoes with bows. I never quite liked this style of boots. But it's because of the studs that I do like them. They give them this rock vibe, which I love. And let's face it: I always like silver hardware on shoes!

The pair I'd really love to have, are these:

They're a combination of everything I love: black, studs, crosses, and rock. Someone please buy me these babies? My budget unfortunately doesn't allow me to buy them.

I did, however, win an auction for a Versace for H&M skirt. It ended with a low price, so I was happy. I'm not into all the crazy prints from the collection, but I did like some things of the Pelle Borchie collection a lot. Back in November when it was released I couldn't afford any of it, so I'm occasionally snooping around on Ebay to see if there's anything nice.

However, it seems I'm never truly lucky, because one day after I paid the seller got a negative review from a different buyer. While their feedback was 100% positive before that. So I'm a little anxious now, I hope I'll get the skirt after all. If not, I'll be sure to file a Paypal claim in time!

I love the little gold details

It's a silk skirt, and usually I'm not sure about silk because I don't like the way it's made. They gather cocoons from worms (which usually are bred and held in captivity), and it is said they're thrown into boiling water while the worms are still in there. Which is such an awful way of gathering the material.
But I suppose it doesn't hurt much to buy silk items second-hand, when no one is making profit from it.

I try to be more and more conscious about animal suffering. For example, I'm also not a person who buys a lot of leather shoes or bags, or who buys all kinds of feather fashion accessories. I do own a few, but I don't nearly buy all the stuff I'd like to have. Simply because I'd feel bad about it.

Cheap things are usually made the cruel way.

  1. I love studs on shoes! I saw a wonderfull pair of shoes at Sacha, but they are a bit over my budget :p I do hope to buy it before it sells out. And the second pair of shoes look great! I saw those today as well ♥

That skirt you won looks lovely! Congrats on winning the auction. I hope to see a picture of it worn. And yeah, how silk is made is just sickening. I can't believe it's made out of an animal :C

    1. I hope you'll be able to get the shoes at sacha! Do you have a picture of them? I'm curious XD

Thank you! I might post a worn picture if I receive it. Something really strange happened today, the negative review on the seller turned into a positive one. Really odd!
But it does give me a bit more hope that it might be a reliable seller after all, and that I'll receive the skirt without problems ^^
I think it's a good thing to stand still about the way things are made. I try to keep buying fashion items made from animals to a minimum.
